  • My approach to therapy is to work with the nervous system and the mind to help longstanding pain conditions, by looking at the initial cause and more importantly the subsequent perpetuating factors. Come experience an environment that is nurturing, private and safe, where you will have the opportunity to rebalance, rejuvenate, and thrive.

  • FAQ's

    What to expect

For my people clients - The treatment I perform is not like your typical "lotion" relaxation massage. My goal is to create longer lasting results. Because of this, I utilize the most effective bodywork techniques. I utilize gentle soft tissue manipulation, which allows the subconscious brain to release holding patterns. A typical session includes a series of specific moves to various muscles in the body - this equates to neuromuscular rebalancing, helping the body understand where the dysfunction is and allowing the body to find balance again. A session may vary from the last, based on what your body is needing that session. The session will be deeply relaxing for both the body as well as the mind and soul. I incorporate gentle rhythmic movements to facilitate the release of stressful physical and mental patterns.

The TMJ specific session targets the TMJ and specific muscles both inside and outside the mouth, as well as the neck.

For our furry friends - light therapy is wonderful for treating painful conditions and mobility issues. The session will last 15 to 20 minutes and during the treatment, your dog/cat/horse will typically not feel anything. It is a pleasant experience for the animal! Note, this is not massage, nor am I providing massage to the animal.

    What to wear

All of the modalities can be done fully clothed or in your underwear (depending on your preference). The exception is the Light Treatment portions (which is done on bare skin while you are covered comfortably by a sheet). Please wear gym type attire (ie loose shirt and shorts or yoga pants and sports bra) - refrain from wearing slippery material or tight material.

    How often

Each person is unique, so the number of sessions needed is as well. What most people find is that consistent bodywork for a set period of time is ideal for the body to relearn new patterns and break old ones. Generally, if you have had a condition causing pain for some time, you will want to come in once per week for 4 to 6 weeks to allow longer lasting results.

Once you have met your wellness goals, then coming in monthly for a "tune up" is advised. With our modern day lifestyle, it is critical that we take care of our muscles, tendons and joints. Just as we go to the dentist at certain intervals or get our hair cut, taking care of the part of the body that holds us together and is used thousands of times each day is so important to overall wellness.

    Me at age 4

My passion for my practice has to do with my own journey toward better health. I suffered with severe TMJ pain for years and tried every treatment possible. Finally, out of desperation, I elected a surgery that required the breaking of my jaw and unfortunately led to further pain, In addition, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid condition.

Finally fed up, I decided to take charge of my own health. I spent 6 years studying health and wellness.

With dietary and lifestyle changes (critical) and specific bodywork, my quality of life is so much better. I hope to share my knowledge with you to help improve your quality of life.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my best friends (my herd of horses who live on my property), along with 2 dogs, my son and husband. I practice respectful horsemanship, positive reinforcement training and have studied the way a horse is meant to live naturally as well as the effects of the rider on the body mechanics of the horse. I love educating horse lovers on what is important to the horse and seeing them become one with the horse.
